This is a path Hubby mowed with the bush hog through the field behind our house that runs to our back woods.
Our next project is to fence the perimeter of the farm.
We have approximately 120 acres, and we have a desire to fence it.
Why?
I dunno.
We don't have livestock or horses. But, there is just that need to establish a border, I guess.
We could hire the clearing and fencing...but what's the fun in that when we can do it!
We have the chain saws and muscles, so we are gonna do this ourselves.
Hubby has cleared a path with the tractor/bush hog along a portion of the woods.
We have firewood and kindling that we have accumulated because of his work on the upcoming fence site.
But, we have much more work to do.
Work had to be postponed around Christmas time....not because of the holidays but because Hubby got sick. He has been sick since the day after Christmas, but he is beginning to feel better this week. It looks like our work will begin again. (That's what one does when one retires. But the "work" is different. It is at one's own pace and direction....which makes it not "work" any more. We love it!)

The temperature should be in the 70's this week. We are glad about that because it has been cold for the past 3 days. I don't know how my blogging friends to the north endure cold temperatures. We are certainly not used to low temps, and I am glad that it is warming back up here in the Deep South.
Sending all of you warm hugs from South Georgia, USA.
Hugs and love,
Jackie
