Saturday was supposed to be Shelby's birthday party.
Didn't happen. Sweet baby girl was sick for the first time in her little life. Had a temperature and threw up. Was a sick little girl.
Nana and Granddaddy kept Lauren and Garrett (her siblings.) They spent the night with us.

What did we do??? (Lauren, Garrett, Grandaddy and Nana....)
We are having a day out on the "high seas" in the boat.
Lauren is the captain....and Garrett is a fine First Mate.
No....we're not "at sea" !!!
We are in a sea of grass on Granddaddy's and Nana's farm.
We're gonna have a picnic on the boat parked behind the house....and we are EXCITED!!!!
Sandwiches on/in the pontoon....
No problems getting the First Mate to eat lunch.

of us getting permission to "come on board" the pontoon before we boarded.

Lauren and Garrett get in "Toe-Mater" (Granddaddy's old work truck) and help Granddaddy trim limbs from the oak tree in the back yard.
We are picking acorns off limbs. Gonna plant us some trees!!!!
Lauren is not walking the plank.
She is navigating the truck bed of "Toe-Mater" to help Granddaddy clear pine limbs from the outdoor swing.

Garrett is thinking about getting up on the side of the truck....but Nana is close by and won't hear of it!! :)))

Aside from sweet Shelby being sick on her big day, this whole post put a big dose of giddy in my heart!! I want to come and have a picnic on the boat too! Happy first Birthday Shelby! Please give her a little kiss from me :)

Shelby just looks so precious Jackie. And I laughed at Garret taking his hat of as Frank always did that too!

Shelby is soooo beautiful! OH that looks like it was a fun afternoon. I love playing with the kids and pretending. Imaginations are a wonderful thing arn't they!
